The Brocks Gap Training Center is a premier shooting range located southwest of Pell City, AL. It is a private club that offers a wide variety of shooting ranges, including 24 Action Shooting bays, a 1,400 yard long distance range and more.

I have been a member of BGTC since 2014, served a 3 year term on the Board of Directors as Treasurer, and have been approved by the Board of Directors as a firearms trainer.

I’ve also been certified as a Range Safety Officer twice (2016 & 2025) and held specialized qualifications for restricted use ranges (legacy F&G, K & H Ranges).

BGTC offers opportunities for both non-members and members to shoot around 20 different types of monthly matches for a very modest fee. The matches include my action shooting favorites: USPSA, Steel Challenge, IDPA and many others.

New members must have a sponsor that will vouch for the new member, and the sponsor will be asked a series of questions that require detailed answers, including:

• How long have you known the applicant?

• Has the applicant had any formal firearms training?

• Have you witnessed the applicant fire a pistol, rifle or shotgun?.

• Does the applicant participate in competition and were you present to observe?

If you need a sponsor, I can help with this process by providing firearms training, instructing and coaching you through various live fire exercises, and even preparing you for competition. (USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, etc.)
