What Ace Can’t Replicate — and What It Gets Right

Ace is powerful—but no single tool does everything. Here’s where it fits in your overall training journey:

❌ What It Can’t Simulate

• Recoil and Blast: There’s no physical kick, muzzle rise, or auditory shock. Learning to manage these aspects of firearms must be developed through live-fire training.

• Emotional Pressure: While visual and cognitive challenges are present, Ace can’t fully simulate the adrenaline or psychological stress of firing a life firearm at the range, much less under the stress of a real-world situation.

✅ What It Nails

• Tactile Realism: The system uses a handgun replica known as a handset that the Meta Quest controller is mounted into. The handset delivers a realistic size, weight, and trigger feel that feels like a live firearm in the hand and looks like an actual functioning firearm within the virtual reality environment..

• Realistic Sight Systems: Train using iron sights or a red dot optic inside the simulation, reinforcing proper aiming, tracking, and transitions that directly carry over to your carry or competition pistol.

Virtual fire practice in Ace complements, but does not replace the need for dry fire or live-fire practice. I will be able to see what you see in virtual reality, but will also be able to observe your stance, posture, grip in real life, while assessing your accuracy, precision and speed as quantified by Ace.

• Remote Coaching
  Already own a Meta Quest 3 and Ace software? I offer remote coaching packages where we both are present on a shared virtual range, I will direct you to run specific drills, assess your performance, and remotely coach you through the process of building the skills necessary to achieve higher levels of performance.
